From the bubble of liberty we moved to the amazing nature. We saw the biggest living creature on the planet and I felt so small and petty ... and then ... breathtaking views and yes, fucking squirrels ;-) Amazing Yosemite national park.

Well... no comment! Ok .. ok ... giant sequoia cones. Giant sequoia. Soft and gentile:-)
Sequoiadendron giganteum. So humongous you can walk trough.
...At the end, I managed to exit :-)
They are quite familiar with the visitors.El Capitan.
My private driver dealing with our new Garmin. He was fascinated with the automatic transmission. He learned fast and drove me save trough the entire California.
Heaven for bears.Hmm ... who's cuter?
Fucking squirrel. LOL Breathtaking view point.
Overhanging glacial rock. Under the rock there is an almost 1.000 meters fall. Look! Look at this!

The view from the Glacier point. And then we returned to the coast.

It's almost 3 weeks since we've returned from one of the most beautiful vacation I've ever had: 18 days of californication from San Francisco to San Diego. Experiencing liberty, knowing new people, places, situations, learning about the beauty and diversity of life. Absolute joy! Well, descending from  the plane in Klagenfurt meant almost immediately leaving back the dream of this joyful travel. We were immersed in work and reality from the first minute we've landed. And it was a kind of chilly, on the way home it was snowing.  But our hearts and souls are still full of sunny Californian energy ... I love to travel with my hubby. I'll be posting some of the 900 pictures we've made, so we can share this energizing experience with you... you'll see we've done a lot of interesting things and knew some very nice people. So, here is CALIFORNICATION part 1.

Harvey Milk's jacket and shirt. Still covered in blood.  I promised, I did it. Kissed the holy Castro Street
Harvey Milk plaza.  And here it is ... his shop, his place, ex Castro Camera, the center of his movement! What an inspiration!
I loved that! Old fashion barber, making me beautiful for one of the most beautiful cities on the globe: San Francisco. Financial district.
The historical cable car in San Francisco.

Crabs ... yummy!

Alcatraz.

Pier 39 with its sea lions.

Sigourney Weaver

Our San Francisco family: Chris, Jona and Frank ;-) Lovely!!! Thank you guys for all the hospitality.
Folsom street fair, annual BDSM and leather subculture street fair; some homophobes in Slovenia try to scarry the Slovenian public writting on their blogs that Folsom is San Francisco's pride parade ... ... and that Folsom is what the LGBT activist in Slovenia, including me, are trying to make out of the pride parade in Ljubljana.
... well, it would be great to have a place of such liberty for all BSDM and leather subcultures regardles their sexual orientation  in Ljubljana, but the traditional Pride parade would remain the traditional Pride parade, which is sth. completelly diferent from Folsom. But visiting Folsom street fair, that was a great experience, Seeing thousands of different people of all king of sexual orintetions showing their fetishes publicly and freely. Great!
My favourite girls ... hehe!  Francois Sagat, really my favourite pornstar! AAAAA!!!
Trans generations ... My favourite cowboy!
Ehm ... Sisters!
They were celebrating their 10th anniversary ... he is her slave! Crazy! And there is also place for political activism!
For my beloved Janis! As you can see... straight people love Folsom too!
I was tempted to sent this pics to my favourite magazine Mladina, cause they publisc pics of people bringing the magazine all over the globe... but I've changed my mind ;-)  The great thing of Folsom is, that the fair bases on voluntary work and that the money they gather is devolved for charity. Large part for HIV/AIDS programs... I was told.
The amazing Sisters of perpetual indulgence. We need them in Slovenia!!  This uniform is not a fetish... I've learned later, that he's a real one... Hehehe!!
Our beloved Sinan ... ... was our great company for 4 days in SF! I miss him!!
Yummy!!7 dollars was the suggested entry fee ... all for charity ... but the party in the evening ... that was something. Unfortunatelly no pics from there ... LOL
The Golden Gate (to heaven) Bridge. ... from SF we departed to Yosemite National Park ... to be continued...

Well I'd like to live in San Francisco ...

As you know, my hubby and I spent the last 5 days in the Netherlands. We were invited to a wedding of a friend. We spent the first two days attending the "marriage procedures" in a small citty called Zevenbergen and then the rest three days fulfilling our "marriage duties" in Amsterdam ... relaxing, having fun and spending some quality time together ... and we somehow caught a taste of our coming holiday in California at the end of the month. Hopefully with some more sex. ;-) So here are some pictures of our lovelly trip ...

Traditional singing on the wedding in a little Duch town for...  ... the happy couple.
Viki compeeting with Laura during our short visit of another happy couple ;-)  Nora and Cees preparing a traditional Duch plate ...

Tasting mussles with 1000 sauces ... sexy!  I wanna child!!
Spider  of the streets of Amsterdam.Me and my beloved  endoplasmic reticulum. I'll tell you a story once ;-)
My DNA. Viki is hotter than me. The last 3 pictures are from the Nemo house of experiments/science center...

And here is the historic ship in front of Nemo.

... passing by ...
Superboat!Waiting the ferry!
Just outside Amsterdam's center ... a calm corner we visited Satturday afternoon.   Danger... intense sound signal without warning!

Hotel 1 star and a half

Some years and kilograms ago, [info]vksiand me were asked to play a minor role in a new Slovenian comic series called Hotel 1 star and a half ... We were supposed to "play" a gay couple who came in the hotel to arrange a marriage. Well it happened to be a very boring and rather stupid series (like all Slovenian one), but the attitude of the authors was not offensive, and we found very funny the idea of mixing reality and fiction, and there was also the issue of visibility of gay couples in our country (especially in intertainment)and they promissed 200 EUR each for 3 hours of "work" ... so  we said yes. And [info]vksimanaged to find a link to the series which was on the screens of the national TV this summer again. OMG! The amazing acting starts at 17'45''. We're still rolling on the floor!

My colleague is dead

Well we were not friends, just colleagues at workplace with whom I spent some moments chatting, talking about work, radio and activism. He asked me once, how to register the partnership with his beloved. His partner was dying of cancer and they wanted to have some minimal rights after a long-term partnership in case his partner would pass away. And they registered their partnership and then after a while his partner died. On Thursday, when I came to work, my colleague told me: Tomaz Simon died. He bumped into a cyclist while surpassing her and fall on the street just when a car was passing ... He was 42. He used to cover culture, especially theatre, and was quite good journalist. And he also used to write for a gay magazine called Revolver years ago. He was very hyperactive, very nervous ... a bohemian. He used to live fast. He was always in a hurry. And he loved bears ... o damn he loved them. We were all crushed the last days in the office ... I mean... you could feel the emptiness he left behind  ... on all the radio.... And he was the first love of one of my best friend. It's hard to just accept and live like nothing happened ... and we were not even close friends ... just colleagues who used to meet in the lift, on the street and in the office ... On Friday, I had to prepare a weekly radio show on culture instead of him … and it was not the same. It was really not the same … I'm sad.

I'M BACK!!

Paolo, Viki and me in Gardaland!

So many things happened that I was literally wiped away from my internet life for the last three months... well excuses excuses ... it's all matter of priorities. Anyway, to update you briefly.
And let me say... I've just read  [info]paterson_si 's posts about Viki and me... and tears came to my eyes. Thank you Tomaz! You're such a wonderful person! HUGS!! I'm happy you're close.

Yes, I was attacked during the pride week attending an evening of LGBT literature. Actually 7-8 ninjas attacked the Open Cafe bar where the gathering was taking place with the intention to throw  lightened smoke candles into the bar full of people burning them ... and right at that time I was at the door smoking outside, so considering I'm a bear, they had to remove me first ... but you know... I'm a bear ...  I have 3 stitches on my head, burned neck and almost broken finger  … but I'm completelly healed now ;-)

Anyway the response of the LGBT community, NGO's, government, police, politics, media, academics, artists, intellectuals ... general public and especially friends  was huge and we had some days of great solidarity. And I was obscuring the death of Michael Jackson (he died the day I was beaten, or vice versa;-) in all the Slovenian media, being the opening news on all main televisions, being guest on many TV shows and being for the first time on the cover of a magazine ;-)

Two days later we had the greatest Pride parade celebrating the 40th anniversary of Stonewall riots and 25th anniversary of LGBT movement in Slovenia.  And yelling out our: No to homophobia and violence!

A week later the police managed to arrest 3 of 7/8 attackers... and the court is now working on the case.

A week later Viki and me won our constitutional court case against the state. It was a great victory!! Here are some details.

One of my best friends got very ill recently and I almost passed out cause of the shock.

We were in Istanbul (Turkey)  in May. I was attending an HIV/AIDS training and we’ve known some amazing persons there. Sinan, hope to see you soon!  We visited our friends in Belluno and  Brescia and had absolutely great time with them at the amusement park Gardaland. THX Andrea, Luca, Zeljko and Paolo! We went with two family friends  - Roman and Simon  (kiss!!)- to Ravenna  and to the famous Riviera Romagnola and spent a relaxing weekend there.  We were at the U2 concert in Zagreb (Croatia) – a friend of our gave us the tickets for free. (THX Barbara and Uros). We had two bear parties, the last wonderful this Saturday and  one great bear pic nic at my grandparent's house ...

So here we are … working till 24th of September and then … California will be ours for three weeks!

I’m back again. And hopefully I won’t  sink again in everyday’s life obligations to soon ;-)

Hugs to all of you! I missed you!

A RADICAL SOCIAL REVOLUTION!!

  • Apr. 6th, 2009 at 8:47 AM
stable

As I finished the previous post, I think this world needs a radical revolution. And while I was thinking about a social one, one of the guys form the youth center where I teach human rights mentioned the Zeitgeist movement. And my oh my … I spent 8 hours yesterday watching the Zeitgeist movies and found myself very attracted to this idea. Well it seems very utopian in this very moment, but while watching the movies I found all my thoughts about the social injustice, the cruelty of materialism, the importance of ecological behavior, the absurdity of religious institutions, the essentiality of love, empathy, respect, solidarity, acceptance of diversity … joined in this very interesting movement. And I think this time, when political, economical and corporative elites are trying to save this absurd and injustice system that cyclically brings us into global crisis, causing immense sufferance of innocent people, I think this time is ideal for a social revolution like Zeitgeist movement is suggesting. What do you think?

FARE DAY

It was a FARE day for our association. Let me explain ... a couple of years ago I've done a course for the national trainer of human rights, in a so called programme Compass of the Council of Europe. And started a weekly workshop of human rights teaching in a local youth club. We started also a football tournament joining the campaign FARE – Football against racism in Europe. So now, we have human rights workshops once a week and twice a year a special FARE football tournament: one on the 4th of April, the birthday of  the youth center called Camac (in the mostly  work class / immigrant capital’s suburb Zalog),  and one in October during the European FARE week. So Andrej, the president of our association, and the workers at the youth center prepared an amazing football tournament with more the 100 young people competing, several teams from Ljubljana's youth and socialcenters, a team of homeless people called The kings of the streets, a team from the asylum center, a glbt team, a lot of music, creative workshops, also a priest from the nearby church collaborated, he let us use his electricity for free... a magnificent day... I was doing PR and a kind of speaker ... with my leg in the air ... LOL

And in the evening... it wasMartin Luther King's documentary ... it's 41 years from his assassination... and his dream continues to inspire us!

A piece of my heart

And I discovered also how false Livejournal is. I mean… if you analyze my journal, you will discover that we're traveling all the time, that we're living a perfect love story with my hubby, that we have a lot of friends, that we’re having great fun all the time, that my live is … perfect. But the truth is ... the information that I publish on Livejournal is selected, and of course I like to publish the things that make me happy… so…  LIVEJOURNAL IS A BIG LIE! It has not, does not and will not represent the complex reality of my everyday life. There is plenty of dark sides of my living too, painful moments, ordinary events and rutine too… so please, don’t base your perception of my life basing your knowledge on what I publish here… ok?

I'm concerned because I see more and more unemployed people around me. More and more men and women who, after being good citizens and working for 20/30 years, are now facing the consequences of global crisis.  Having difficulties to pay the essential  bills, having troubles buying the essential food.

Hmm…. And I’m planning to visit the great bear weekend in Bearcelona and then an AIDS meeting in Vilnius and then another in Istanbul and then vacation in California in October …

Hmm… I don’t know why, but I am feeling a profound sense of guilt working for a public company and having a more or less secure job … not helping the persons in need … I mean … we have more than we need, they don’t have the minimum they need …

Yes, being at home for three days has made me rediscover, how this system we have established, how this society is heartless. And I have discovered also, how deeply brainwashed am I regarding my work.

Cause I felt guilty resting all the day at home, doing absolutely nothing, even if my doctor has prescribed me to rest. I had a small chirurgical intervention on my leg. My left toe nail was removed due to ingrown nail … so I had plenty of time to think.

We need a revolution! Urgently!

One of the most beautiful cities in the world, Venice, is just sth. more then 2 hours drive from LJ city. PATTY DIPHUSA is my lover

It's several years now, since Liana, a colleague of mine (we do the sex radio show once a week together), has told me about this show ... The confessions of porno diva - Patty Diphusa. It's a cabaret, a rearrangement of some  stories Pedro Almodovar published in the newspaper La luna in Madrid in the 80's, writing under the pseudonym Patty Diphusa. The singer is one of the most amazing ethno singer and multiinstrumentalist Bostjan Gombac. The man on the contrabass used to be my colleague at the radio and the drummer ... well ... in the strange mixture of “coincidences” life is offering us every day ... he became Liana’s boyfriend. He is an amazing musician too... and was my guest in one of mine night radio shows. I became an obsessed fan (I know Patty hates it)  of Patty Diphusa cabaret (before Liana became the girlfriend of the drummer ;-), I saw it twice and planning to see it another couple of times. I have a CD with all the autograms, and glitters Patty has on her face during the performance. She wrote me also a note: "Fuk ni bil slab!" (The srew was't bad.), which is actually used in one of her song in the cabaret (Ballade about the guy with a leather dick) ... and I know by heart the whole show of course... Well call me obsessed , but I LOVE this show!

The genocide of Benedictus PP. XVI

  • Mar. 24th, 2009 at 9:50 PM

Today I received a mail in my mailbox in the office. It was a press release of the Catholic Church in Slovenia about the positions of Pope Benedict the 16th on AIDS. Another text full of dogmas and ideological bullshit on how abstinence and monogamy are the only correct ways to fight hiv/aids. How condoms don't offer 100% protection and how promoting the use of condoms is not equal to promotion of safe sex behavior. Safe sex behavior, as church try to convince us, are monogamy and abstinence only.

1. Sub-Saharan Africa continues, according to the last UNAIDS report, are the region most affected by the AIDS pandemic. More than two out of three (68%) adults and nearly 90% of children infected with HIV live in this region, and more than three in four (76%) AIDS deaths in 2007 occurred there.

2. In absolute numbers: 22,5 million adults and children were living with HIV, 1,7 million of adults and children were new infected, and 1,6 million of adults and children died in Sub-Saharan Africa in 2007.

3. Experts on the field of hiv/aids (immunologists, microbiologists, infectologists, epidemiologists ...)  have tones of researches based evidences, which shows that abstinence and monogamy are not a successful way to fight hiv/aids.

Saying that promoting the use of condoms in the region is not a good way fight hiv/aids is equal to genocide.

Saying that the only correct way is abstinence and monogamy is equal to genocide.

CAN SAMEBODY SUE THIS POPE INFRONT OF SOME INTERNATIONAL COURT???

CAN SOMEBODY STOP BENEDICTUS XVI??

CAN SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO THE PEOPLE THAT THIS POPE HAS NEVER REALLY STOPPED TO BELONG TO HITLERYUGEND??
